Natchez Regional Hospital’s Chapter 9 Plan Approved by Bankruptcy Court

Natchez Regional Medical Center, a community hospital owned by Adams County, Mississippi, can sell its 179-bed acute-care facility to Community Health Systems Inc. in a deal worth $18 million after a U.S. bankruptcy judge in Jackson signed a confirmation order on Sept. 30 approving the municipal debt- adjustment plan (In re Natchez Regional Medical Centerplan confirmation order).

No buyer appeared to compete with the offer from CHS.

The hospital filed for Chapter 9 protection in March and its disclosure statement was approved Aug. 29 26 BBLR 1226, 9/11/14.
