Nanotechnology Co. NanoMech Files Bankruptcy in Delaware

NanoMech Inc., which sells lubricants and specialty chemical products containing patent-protected nanotechnologies, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in federal court in Delaware.

Judge Christopher S. Sontchi of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware is presiding over the case and will hear first-day motions April 18 in the case.

The Springdale, Ark.-based company founded in 2002 by Ajay P. Malshe, a professor in the College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas who served as the company’s chief technology officer for many years, filed Chapter 11 April 15.
