MSU Eyes Argentina ‘RIGI’ Investor Benefits for 300MW Solar Farm

Argentine power generator MSU Green Energy is eyeing a new 300MW solar farm in Catamarca province, Manuel Santos Uribelarrea, CEO of holding company Grupo MSU, said at an event in Buenos Aires.

  • MSU would want the project to get approved under a new government incentives package for big investments known by its Spanish acronym RIGI
    • Uribelarrea says RIGI would in particular benefit the economics of the solar farm through its provisions for value-added-tax breaks
    • “RIGI gives us the possibility to consider investment projects of a bigger scale”
