ModivCare Ordered to Explain Transfers in White & Case Fee Fight

A federal judge is demanding answers after White & Case sought to hold ModivCare Inc. in contempt for allegedly failing to fund an escrow account for legal fees in the company’s bankruptcy.

Judge Alfredo R. Pérez of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas said during a hearing Wednesday that he will hold another hearing to investigate a potential breach of his order confirming the medical transportation company’s reorganization plan last year.
