Modell’s Sporting Goods, Inc. plans to extend its Chapter 11 bankruptcy suspension for the third time as the Covid-19 outbreak keeps non-essential businesses shut.
The sporting goods retailer doesn’t yet know how much more time it will need or what the timeline would be for re-opening, the company’s attorney, Michael D. Sirota, Cole Schotz P.C., told a bankruptcy court Friday.
“I hope we have more information by the time we file for further suspension. I just don’t have answers to those questions today,” Sirota said during a status conference with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey. ...
