Missouri Developer Files Bankruptcy After Partner Sues Founder

A Missouri-based development firm that had been helping build a $400 million amusement park and luxury hotel in the Ozarks has filed for bankruptcy after a business partner sued founder Jeffrey J. Tegethoff and accused him of misusing investor funds.

Tegethoff Development has nearly $540 million in liabilities, including a $13 million court judgment held by investors in a real estate venture in St. Peters, Missouri, that is unrelated to the Ozarks project, according to the Chapter 11 petition filed Monday.
