Rubio’s Bid to Force Meta to Host Ads Fails in Bankruptcy Ruling

Rubio’s Restaurants Inc. lost a bid to force Meta Platforms Inc. to allow the Mexican food chain to continue advertising on Facebook and other social media sites while going through bankruptcy.

The restaurant chain sought the order after accusing the social media giant of illegally blocking its ads as punishment for failing to pay about $96,000 owed on its advertising account. Rubio’s sought a temporary restraining order that would prohibit Meta from stopping the restaurant chain’s advertising efforts on the social media platforms.
