Maryland Lawyer Owes IRS $1.9 Million for Company’s Transfers

A Baltimore attorney who helped develop and execute a plan to transfer assets away from an insolvent company he directed owes the federal government nearly $1.9 million, a judge ruled.

Isaac Neuberger of Neuberger Quinn Gielen Rubin & Gibber PA, who last year was found personally liable for the unpaid federal taxes owed by Lehcim Holdings Inc., was assessed the penalty in a Jan. 23 damages ruling by the US District Court for the District of Maryland.
