MANDATE: Nomura Provides Debt for CVC’s Mallinckrodt Unit Deal

Nomura provided committed debt financing to support Mallinckrodt’s sale of its Therakos business to CVC Capital, according to people familiar.

  • CVC Capital agreed to buy Therakos, a “fully integrated extracorporeal photopheresis delivery system for autologous immunomodulatory therapy,” for $925 million, according to a statement
    • The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2024, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions
  • Mallinckrodt, CVC and Nomura declined to comment
