Mall Can’t Block Ollie’s Bargain Takeover of Toys ‘R’ Us Lease

A Maryland mall can’t prevent Toys “R” Us from assigning its lease to Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, a brand the owner said would cheapen its property, a Virginia federal court ruled.

Toys “R” Us sold and assigned its lease interest in The Centre at Glen Burnie through a sale and assignment approved by the bankruptcy court overseeing the retail giant’s liquidation.
