Magna to Cut 500 Austrian Jobs After Fisker Production Halt: KZ

Contract car assembler Magna International to cut 500 jobs at its plant in Graz, Austria due to low order book, Kleine Zeitung newspaper says citing management.

  • Decision follows production halt of EV-maker Fisker last month
  • Fisker had planned to make 40,000 vehicles annually at plant
  • Layoff, registered with Austrian labor service AMS, follows 450 earlier headcount reduction
