Long Island Diocese Moves to End Bankruptcy After Plan Rejection

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre, New York asked a bankruptcy court to dismiss its Chapter 11 case after sex abuse claimants rejected its $200 million reorganization plan.

The Long Island diocese has faced several challenges to its reorganization efforts from people who say they were sexually abused as children by clergy members.
