Liquidation Plan of Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP Approved by Bankruptcy Court in New York

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York Feb. 27 approved the second amended liquidation plan of Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP (In re Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP).

Judge Martin Glenn concluded that the defunct law firm’s Chapter 11 liquidation plan is in the best interests of creditors and the estate. According to Glenn, all of the requirements of Bankruptcy Code Sections 1122, 1123, and 1129 have been satisfied and the plan was proposed in good faith. Furthermore the plan is feasible and has a reasonable likelihood of success, the court said in court documents.
