Rapper Lil Wayne’s former attorney asked a bankruptcy court to approve the sale of his Malibu home through a public auction, as he has been unable to sell it following California’s fires and storms.
Bankrupt entertainment attorney Ronald E. Sweeney requested court permission to hire Harcourts Blue Water, a luxury real estate brokerage firm in Newport Beach, Ca., as auctioneer following unsuccessful efforts to sell the home, according to a Jan. 21 motion in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. The attorney had dropped the price multiple times from almost $14 million to $10.5 million.
