Lazard Said to Hire PJT Restructuring Partner Mike Genereux

Lazard Ltd. hired Mike Genereux from competitor PJT Partners Inc. where he was a partner in the restructuring and special situations group, according to people familiar with the matter.

Genereux worked on a variety of situations for PJT, regularly representing creditors as he did in the bankruptcies of PHI Inc. and FirstEnergy Solutions Corp. He is currently on “gardening leave” before starting at Lazard, the people said.
