LATAM BONDWRAP: Refinancing Sets LatAm Firms Ahead of EM Peers

Corporations in Latin America are holding up better than in other emerging-markets nations since most companies have recently refinanced their bonds, according to T. Rowe Price.

  • “Generally speaking LatAm held up better than what we’ve seen in other regions,” said Siby Thomas, portfolio manager of emerging market corporate strategies at T. Rowe Price. “A lot of the companies refinanced and don’t have this near term maturity wall as we see in other regions”
