Banksy Mural Valued at $2 Million by L.A. Building in Bankruptcy

The owner of a downtown Los Angeles commercial building featuring a painted mural by renowned street artist Banksy filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to avoid foreclosure and conduct a court-supervised sale of the property.

The seven-story building, located in LA’s Fashion District, values the “Girl on Swing” mural at $2 million, according to papers filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.

Referred to as the “Sparkle Factory” by pink-haired owner Tarina Tarantino, the building houses Tarantino’s eponymous jewelry design business and boutique.
