KKR Sees Europe, Asia Credit ‘Renaissance’ Amid Volatility (1)

Investors should look to opportunities in Europe and Asia as volatility takes hold and global credit markets evolve in favor of bespoke debt, according to a letter from KKR & Co. to investors Thursday.

European leveraged credit outperformed the US in the first quarter and offers a compelling opportunity, according to Christopher Sheldon, KKR’s co-head of credit and markets and Tal Reback, global investment strategist for credit and markets at the firm.

“There’s relative value in European credit,” said Reback in an interview. “It’s having a renaissance moment.”
