KKR-Backed Optiv Starts Private Talks With Junior Lenders

Some of Optiv Inc.’s creditors have entered into confidential talks with the cybersecurity firm as it faces a surge of payments on maturing debt next year, according to people familiar with the situation.

The talks with the owners of its second-lien loans come after the KKR & Co.-backed firm slipped further into distressed territory.

A representative with KKR declined to comment, while messages left with Optiv were not returned

More the half of the company’s $1 billion of debt is coming due in 2026, including a $650 million term loan.
