Juno Files for Bankruptcy After Shutting Ride-Hailing Startup

Ride-hailing startup Juno USA LLC declared bankruptcy after closing its New York-based operations.

The company listed debt of more than $100 million and assets of more than $1 million in Chapter 11 documents filed Tuesday in Wilmington, Delaware.

Juno is owned by Gett Inc., a Tel Aviv-based ride-hailing company that spent $200 million to acquire the business in 2017. In a statement Monday, Gett said it was shutting Juno and that it would start a partnership with Lyft Inc., allowing Gett’s corporate clients to access Lyft rides through the Gett app beginning next year.
