JPMorgan’s Bea Exiting as Head of Distressed, Special Situations

Alex Bea, head of distressed debt and special situations at JPMorgan Chase & Co., is leaving the firm, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

The departure was announced to staff on Tuesday morning, said one of the people, all of whom asked not to be identified discussing the move. He has worked at JPMorgan since 2002, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show. A successor to Bea, who is based in New York, wasn’t immediately named.

JPMorgan representative Gurpreet Kaur and Bea both declined to comment.
