Johnson & Johnson Talc Litigants Urge Judge to Reconsider Venue

Johnson & Johnson’s court win allowing it to keep its talc subsidiary bankruptcy proceeding in Texas needs to be revisited, a group of plaintiffs’ attorneys said, arguing the affiliate isn’t different from the one that was previously in bankruptcy in New Jersey.

J&J’s Red River Talc LLC isn’t a separate corporate entity from LTL Management LLC, the plaintiffs said in a Wednesday filing in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
