JetBlue Ends Flights to 5 ‘Unprofitable’ Markets, 16 Routes

JetBlue said it will stop flying to Bogotá, Quito, Lima and Kansas City on June 13, as well as Newburgh, New York, which had been suspended since the pandemic, according to an emailed statement.

  • JetBlue said the changes don’t affect its expected full year capacity guidance which continues to be down low single digits year-over-year
  • Puerto Vallarta will become a seasonal BlueCity, “focusing service when seasonal demand makes more sense”
  • Also ending 16 routes:
    • Aguadilla – Tampa
    • Fort Lauderdale – Atlanta, Austin, Nashville, New Orleans, Salt Lake City
    • Los Angeles – Cancún, Las Vegas, Liberia, Miami, Puerto Vallarta, Reno, San ...
