Amusement facility operator Eternal Amusement, with 6.9b yen in liabilities, leads a total of 23 bankruptcies nationwide related to the coronavirus outbreak as of March 31, according to a report published by Teikoku Databank.

  • Total includes eight bankruptcies that Teikoku Databank reported on March 11
  • 10 tourism companies and 6 food and restaurant companies are among the bankruptcies, as well as Osaka-based apparel company City Hill with 5b yen in liabilities
  • By region, the Kinki region surrounding Osaka leads with 5 bankruptcies, followed by Hokkaido and the Chugoku region surrounding Hiroshima with 4 each.
