Former leaders of e-commerce platform Volusion Inc. sued Jackson Walker LLP and two attorneys, arguing they failed to disclose a secret romance between between a federal bankruptcy judge on the case and a lawyer.
Attorneys Elizabeth Freeman, Matthew Cavenaugh, and law firm Jackson Walker engaged in a “deceptive and unlawful course of conduct” to manipulate the bankruptcy proceedings of Volusion, according to a lawsuit filed Monday in the Superior Court for the State of California in Los Angeles County.
