Jackson Walker LLP has engaged prominent Houston attorney Rusty Hardin to represent it in lawsuits related to the romance between one of its former attorneys and a bankruptcy judge.
Hardin was a lead prosecutor in Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s impeachment proceedings and defended NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson against multiple sexual assault allegations. His retention by Jackson Walker comes as the law firm battles accusations that it failed to disclose a romantic relationship between one of its former attorneys, Elizabeth Freeman, and former bankruptcy judge David R. Jones.
