Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Completes Restructuring, Emerges From Chapter 11

Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc., the second-largest tax preparation firm, announced Aug. 16 it has completed its financial restructuring and emerged from Chapter 11 (In re Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc.).

The Parsippany, N.J.-based company and five affiliates filed a “pre-packaged” Chapter 11 May 24 (103 DTR K-3, 5/27/11).

Judge Mary F. Walrath of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware Aug. 9 issued an order confirming Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc.'s pre-packaged reorganization plan (155 DTR K-1, 8/11/11).
