Jack Nicklaus Seeks Dismissal of His Former Company’s Bankruptcy

Golf legend Jack Nicklaus urged a bankruptcy court to dismiss the case of his former golf services business, owned by banker and entrepreneur Howard Milstein, saying it only seeks to strip him of his rights at a detriment to the company.

Nicklaus Cos.’ Chapter 11 seeks to shed Nicklaus’ $50 million defamation judgment, remove his right to review and approve the transfer of intellectual property, and complete a rushed sale, according to a Dec. 31 motion to dismiss in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
