Johnson & Johnson’s talc liability unit moved to hire Kirkland & Ellis LLP as its special litigation counsel amid a trial on its proposal to resolve mass litigation over its talc products.
The company is looking to replace Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP in the role after Allison M. Brown, the J&J unit’s lead special litigation counsel, left the firm to be a partner at Kirkland two weeks ago, according to an application filed Monday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
