J&J Seeks to Block Beasley Allen Attorney in Talc Lawsuit (1)

Johnson & Johnson urged a New Jersey federal judge to reject a Beasley Allen attorney’s admission in a proposed medical monitoring class action for J&J talc product users, expanding a targeted fight against the plaintiffs’ firm.

Allowing Alabama-based lawyer Leigh O’Dell to represent baby powder and other talc product consumers would be “detrimental to the prompt, fair and efficient administration of justice, as well as the interests of J&J,” the company said in a filing Monday with the US District Court for the District of New Jersey.
