Intrum 2025 Bondholders Challenge Debt Collector’s US Bankruptcy

A group of Intrum AB’s 2025 bondholders is challenging the Swedish debt collector’s bankruptcy filing in the US, in the latest move to oppose a deal they believe disadvantages them as holders of shorter-term debt.

The creditors are filing a motion to dismiss Intrum’s Chapter 11 case which they say was not made in good faith, according to a November 18 filing made in the US bankruptcy court for the Southern District of Texas. The group also said it filed for action in the Swedish courts Friday to declare changes made to Intrum’s notes are invalid.
