SES Americom Inc. lost its bid to recover $421 million from competitor Intelsat SA in a fight over billions of dollars in federal payments for surrendering access to certain spectrum so mobile carriers can use it for 5G technology.
SES failed to show that Intelsat, which emerged from bankruptcy in February, is liable to SES under under an agreement the two satellite giants struck in 2018, Judge Keith Phillips of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia ruled on Friday.
