Inmarsat Must Support Ligado L-Band FCC Bid, Third Circuit Rules

Inmarsat Global Ltd. was required by a federal appeals court to give support for regulatory approval of Ligado Networks’ application to transfer certain rights to AST SpaceMobile Inc. for commercial satellite operations.

Inmarsat, a subsidiary of satellite networking company Viasat Inc., isn’t permitted temporary relief from a bankruptcy court order directing it to back an FCC license application for AST to operate 96 satellites within the L-Band mobile satellite services spectrum in North America.
