ICO Says It Issued 23andMe Notice of Intent to Fine £4.59m

The UK Information Commissioner’s Office says it issued 23andMe with a notice of intent to fine £4.59m and a preliminary enforcement notice in relation to its investigation into the data breach that 23andMe first reported in Oct. 2023.

  • Issued 23andMe with provisional findings earlier this month
    • Findings are provisional and are subject to representations from 23andMe including in relation to affordability considerations
