Hollander Sleep Products Files for Bankruptcy in New York (1)

Hollander Sleep Products LLC, a leading seller of bedding products to Ralph Lauren, Simmons and Calvin Klein, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Sunday in New York.

Its listed assets and liabilities are both in the $100 million to $500 million range, according to court filings.

The company suffered from price increases on materials, the cost of integrating the recent purchase Pacific Coast Feather Co. and $233 million of debt with limited access to credit, according to a declaration filed by Chief Executive Officer Marc Pfefferle.
