Hertz Gyrates as Wild Ride Rages on After Bankruptcy Exit (1)

Hertz Global Holdings quickly erased an initial boom to tumble more than 25% in its first session amid lackluster volume after the rental-car company emerged from bankruptcy Wednesday evening.

  • Shares opened at ~$22, soared to as high as ~$33.80, then tumbled to ~$16.04 after a bankruptcy plan that left its shares trading over-the-counter (OTC) under the symbol “HTZZ” with its warrants trading under the symbol “HTZZW”
    • Less than 500k shares had changed hands by 10 a.m. in New York
