Harvey Weinstein Not Entitled ‘Scream 4' Profits, Spyglass Says

Harvey Weinstein has no right to collect a portion of profits from “Scream 4" because principal photography on the 2011 slasher film commenced before Weinstein signed a profit sharing deal with his former company, said Spyglass Media Group LLC.

Spyglass, which purchased Weinstein Co.'s film library out of bankruptcy in 2018, urged the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware to reject the co-founder’s recent effort to collect a share of over $2.3 million in ‘Scream 4' profits. The disgraced Hollywood mogul contends he has been improperly deprived of vested film “participation interests” enshrined in a 2010 employment agreement. ...
