Former GWG Holdings Inc. bondholders moved for an attorney and a judge to exit the life insurance company’s bankruptcy over their ties to a judicial romance scandal.
Attorney Elizabeth Freeman must be removed as GWG’s wind-down trustee because she concealed her relationship with former Houston bankruptcy judge David R. Jones, who mediated the case, the bondholders said in a motion filed Monday in the the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
