Golden Pass LNG Contractor Files for Bankruptcy on Costs (3)

The lead contractor for the Golden Pass liquefied natural gas project co-owned by QatarEnergy LNG and Exxon Mobil Corp. filed for bankruptcy, adding to the woes of the Texas project already facing potential delays.

Zachry Holdings Inc. filed for Chapter 11 restructuring with the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, the company said Tuesday in a statement. The process will provide the company with “time and flexibility to resolve issues related to Golden Pass LNG,” it said.
