Giuliani Creditors Move to Block His Bid for Defamation Retrial

Rudolph Giuliani shouldn’t be allowed to use his bankruptcy halt debt collections and appeal a $148 million judgment stemming from his discredited campaign to keep Donald Trump in the White House, his creditors said.

The former New York City mayor’s motion to lift the “automatic stay” that protects Chapter 11 debtors against litigation should be rejected so he can’t incur legal fees to pursue “meritless appeals,” two Georgia poll workers told the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday.
