Georgia Board Seeks Transfer of College Housing Bankruptcy Case

The University System of Georgia’s governing body urged a federal court to transfer the bankruptcy case of college student housing manager Corvias Campus Living – USG LLC from Delaware to Georgia.

The Corvias unit’s ties to Delaware, where it’s incorporated, “pale in comparison” to its Georgia connections, the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia said in a motion filed on July 3 in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The bankruptcy “will have “profound implications for Georgia’s student-residents, colleges and universities, workforce and taxpayers,” the board said.
