Gas Mogul Charif Souki Settles Dispute Over $100 Million Debt

Energy tycoon Charif Souki won court approval on a settlement with UBS O’Connor LLC and his other lenders that resolves a dispute over more than $100 million in debt.

  • Judge Christopher Lopez said during a court hearing Tuesday that he’d approve a deal that will settle the dispute after ruling in April that Souki owes his lenders at least $100 million
    • Lopez has been overseeing a bankruptcy involving a luxury Aspen ranch Souki used as collateral on personal loans
