FTX Trading Ltd. has filed lawsuits seeking to recover a combined $105 million from Hong Kong cryptocurrency trading firm Genesis Block, its affiliates, and cryptocurrency exchange Gate.io.
About $120 million in claims brought against FTX by Hong Kong-based Genesis Block Ltd., its nominal owner Bluebird Capital Ltd., their Genesis Block co-founder Clement Ip, and several others affiliates should be voided unless those parties give up about $65 million in FTX property they control, the fallen cryptocurrency giant said in a suit filed Monday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
