FTX is seeking a subpoena to obtain information from a California nonprofit focused on artificial intelligence safety about donations the crypto exchange made before it went bankrupt.
The request is part of of FTX’s investigations into transfers of assets out of the company before its bankruptcy, it said in a motion filed Wednesday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
FTX transferred at least $6.5 million to the San Francisco-based Center for AI Safety in 2022, according to the motion. FTX is seeking to obtain information about payments made to the organization as well as any contracts ...
