FTX and its creditors urged a judge to reject the US Justice Department’s call for an independent probe into the crypto platform’s collapse, citing potential costs and delays.

FTX’s new management and a government-appointed group of unsecured creditors are already probing the circumstances surrounding the company’s downfall, the creditor group said in an objection filed Wednesday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
