Bankrupt women’s specialty retailer Francesca’s has picked the owner of faith-based retailer Altar’d State to start the bidding for its intellectual property.
Knoxville, Tenn.-based Stand Out For Good Inc. has offered $7 million for Francesca’s intangible assets, according to a Monday motion filed in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.
Houston-based Francesca’s Acquisition LLC filed for Chapter 11 for the second time last week with plans to close its stores and liquidate. It blamed its bankruptcy on failed brand investments, inflation, supply chain issues, and a 2023 data breach that shut down company systems.
