Former Apollo Partner Strong Starts Infrastructure, Energy Firm

Former Apollo Global Management Inc. senior partner Geoff Strong has formed a new firm to make bets in infrastructure and energy-transition ventures, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Northampton Capital Partners, named after a city in Massachusetts, plans to establish offices in New York City and Miami, said one of the people, all of whom requested anonymity to discuss confidential information.

Strong plans to begin talks with a targeted group of investors in coming months, though formal fundraising efforts are set to begin in 2024 at the earliest, the people said.
