Forest Road Taps Oaktree’s Kramer in Asset Management Build Out

Merchant bank Forest Road Company has made two executive hires including from distressed investing heavyweight Oaktree Capital Management in a push to grow its asset management business.

Caleb Kramer has been tapped to be president of Forest Road, according to a statement. Previously, Kramer was a portfolio manager at Oaktree where he co-founded four European strategies during his 23 years at the firm and most recently managed more than 13 billion euro in assets.
