Fast-casual restaurant chain Mod Pizza was acquired by Elite Restaurant Group as the company seeks to avoid a potential bankruptcy filing.

• Mod in recent months “has been implementing a plan that includes rightsizing its portfolio, refreshing its brand, and further elevating guest experiences” Mod said in the statement
