F+W Media Split Among Six Buyers in $8 Million Auction

The e-commerce and magazine businesses of bankrupt publisher F+W Media, Inc. will be split up among six buyers who paid about $8 million for the assets in a 16-hour auction.

The niche magazine and book publisher sold the assets in ten different categories such as woodworking, collectibles, and sky and telescope in an auction that began at about noon on June 13 and lasted until after 4 a.m. the following day, Kenneth J. Enos of law firm Young, Conaway, Stargatt & Taylor, LLP, said at a June 17 hearing in Wilmington, Del.
